Long Video Screen Capture Times Fail to Record

Hello,

I love this program when it works perfectly. The problem I keep encountering is when I use the Record Screen mode when recording long videos (excess of 3 hrs). When I go to hit Stop after the video is done the application just seems to hang indefinitely. The Stop button will eventually change back to Start. But in the video file list window if I right click on the file it gives me the option to Stop Recording. I click that and it never stops recording. If I go to the location where I chose to save the file there is no file. So basically I lose the entire recording. If I record short video 1 or 2 hours it is fine. Is there a fix to this issue? Does the file get initially downloaded to a temp file? If so where I looked and can not find it? I hope someone can assist with this issue as its costing me a lot of money. Thanks again for a great application.

Hi, thanks for choosing Apowersoft!

May I ask what your computer OS (Operating System) is? And which software are you using? Apowersoft Free Screen Recorder or Screen Recorder Pro ?

There is a file size limitaion between file system NTFS, FAT and FAT32.

FAT32: Maximum file size is 4 GB.
NTFS: File size limited only by size of volume.

If you want to record a long video, you will get a large recorded file, so please make sure your file system can hold it.

Hello-
My system is a PC running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. I have a 3.4ghz processer Pentium D chip w/ 3GB of ram. I have my computer formatted as NTFS and I have 800GB free. I am using Streaming Video Recorder V4.2.2 Build 12/31/12. When I download the latest version which I believe is 4.6 it will not accept my key code. It says its invalid for this version. I can provide my key code if needed. I had purchased the whole Streaming Media Recorder package which has Streaming Media, Video, Audio and Recording suite. Each one has its own key code. What I have noticed is sometimes the software says it is creating the video file but if I go to the location the video is saving and I see the file size increasing as I record. But when I hit Stop either through the software or by choosing Alt + F7 the file disappears. This is a intermittent issue cause sometimes it works. I use this pc for nothing more then a streaming media box. I have all antivirus disabled (Norton Antivirus) as well as any apps running before I launch the Streaming Video software. All Video Recorder settings are set to default.

Download the latest version 4.6.6 from http://save.apowersoft.com/streaming-video-recorder.exe and reinstall it.

The latest version has fixed many bugs and added more new functions.

The screen capture was completed but when it tried to prepare video, it failed to do so and has quit abruptly. How do I get the video prepared?
