Screen Capture record with Webcam Mic

Hi there. I’m having issues with recording via the screen record. I have a webcam mic that i’m trying to use to record, however, when I go to Tools>Options>Recording>Audio Input, my microphone does not show up. Only the microphone/line in and rec. playback are available to use. I tried with and without a headset as well, and still nothing.I tried all of my usb ports. I went to my sound settings and made my microphone the default, and even turned up the volume to 100 out of desperation. Of course, it wouldn’t work since it’s not showing up on the actual program. I have a logitech webcam (Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920).

Everything else works fine, though. The sound from the screen record works fine when i’m recording something ON the computer.

I hope to hear back soon.

1, Right click on the sound icon in the Notification Area and select ‘Recording devices‘.
2, A new window called Sound will open. In this window you will see the sound devices for recording.
    Is there your Microphone device?

    Okay, so now it works!

However, even when wearing headphones, I can hear an echo. I think that that’s feedback? Like, a delay where I can hear everything I just said repeated back. It makes for awkward recording, needless to say.

Is there a way to get rid of that, by any chance? I’ve used two microphones, and with each one this has happened so far. So, I’m not really sure how to get rid of it.

I’ve already unchecked the box for playback, but that didn’t help. Thank you, and looking forward to a response.

Thank you for the program and your support, but that is not the solution to this problem – a problem I am also having. The same question asked above is also being asked at microphone-sound.html, but I am not seeing a relevant answer yet in any of these forums. It is NOT just feedback, it is microphone input being routed to speaker output by the program! So it’s not a hardware problem and it can’t be fixed by “turning down your speakers” or “moving your microphone further from your speakers”. It’s a software problem and either we have a bad setting in the program or there is a bug. Either way I hope we can resolve it because I can’t use it for anything but visual recording as is, and I would love to be able to do visual-audio!

Hi, looking to buy your product but the mic being fed back to the speakers is a real issue. Without headphones this causes a constant feedback loop that doesn’t stop even when recording is ended and your program (Screen Recorder Pro) needs to be shut down to stop it. Hearing your own voice back on a slight delay is most annoying and makes using the tool extremely difficult. Hopefully this can be resolved. A suggestion if possible is to put a switch in the Audio Options to turn the mic to speaker loop off. Mute recording play back or Output Mic to Speakers (false).

If you select record just microphone this will resolve the issue but the recording quality of the speaker output is degraded as it is now second generation.

BTW this is not just a Webcam Mic issue but one that effects the internal mic and external USB mics. If all worked nicely this program would be well worth the investment.
