    sound issues with recordings

I am having sound recording issues and I am not sure where to look. if can play music and the screen cam recorder will pick it up and I can record you tube with full sound but if I try to record Skype or if I am in secondlife and I want to demonstrate something I have build I get a soundless video. I am not sure why there would be any difference but hopefully its something simple and someone can just whip the answer right out for me

    thanks for all your help

Hi, quasimodo! Before you start to record screen on Skype, have you changed the default audio input of “System” into “System sound and microphone”? If not, just change it to this audio input. However, if you have already done that, you can refer to this post for the solution on the sound issue of the recorded video.

yeah I have went thru thaqt process several times trying to get this figured out , I had it working at one time then I reformatted my hard drive and after that I have never been able to get it to work right. the virtual sound card is installed and says working properly and all my settings are the same as on the page you just linked to I am at a loss, not sure what it is the only difference from before when it worked and now is a new sound card and a clean install of win7 minus all the proprietary crap

Hi, does your playback device name contain character “/”? If so, just remove it or just rename it to “Speakers”.
